The Trip To New Zealand

Recommendation Index: 10.0/10.0

You probably have heard a lot about New Zealand - Lord of the Rings, nature reserves, sheeps and all sorts of exciting things to do like bungy jumping or sky diving. With all these pictures in mind, Ruochen & Congyu chose NZ as their destination of "wedding on the way". It turns outs that they couldn't have made a better decision.

After 13-hour flight, Ruochen & Congyu landed at Auckland Airport. As soon as a SUV was rented, they headed down to Waitomo Caves village, where they visited the famous Glow-worm Caves to see a 'sky' of little green 'stars' and took part in the Legendary Black Water Rafting in Ruakuri Caves. Their next stop is Orakei Korako thermal park, which "got everything but tourists" compared with the rest famous thermal parks in Rotorua. A short break at the smelly town of Rotorua they took a small plane down to Nelson, which is famous for its delicious lamb and tasty wine. And then Ruochen & Congyu took adventure in Abel Tasman National Park for 2 days, lost themselves in its walking route and sea kayaking.

Heading further down, Ruochen & Congyu tracked the rain-swept West Coast with its iconic pancake rocks, black beaches and glaciers. They stopped overnight for the once-in-a-lifetime heli-hike on Fox Glacier, then headed over Hasst Pass to adrenaline-addicted Queenstown.
