Time in the U.S.

The Manor

Ruochen lived in the Slatton Manor with the other 8 young men on Townsend St, New Brunswick, NJ when he worked with Prof. Chris. Rose for his M.S. degree.

The Manor was a house full of joys. In this big white house, Ruochen and his friends made feasts for Thanksgiving, competed on FIFA and Warcraft, worked out in the basement and even played soccer for a few times. Congyu had heard so much of the Manor before she finally found a chance to visit in the spring of 2009.

New York City

Ruochen took Congyu for a 3-day tour in the NYC after Congyu visited the Manor.

They visited all the famous sites in NYC, including Central Park, National History Museum, Empire State Building, Time Square bla bla. They ate at Ruochen's favorite restaurants and enjoyed themselves in Broadway show for the first time.

Washington D.C.

The trip to DC was a short one.

In spite of missing the cherry blossom festival, Ruochen & Congyu still tooke DC as the most beautiful city in the US. They visited all the remarkable buildings which appear often on movies and TV shows, simply with a one-day-pass bus ticket.

The special experience was a tour into the Congress Hill to audience a senator meeting. However, the only person they recoginzed was John McCain.

California

Rather than Hollywood bars or sunny beaches, Ruochen and Congyu spent all their time in Disneyland, Universal Studio, Sea World. It seemed to be an unwise decision, but in those theme parks, their childhoods found their way back.
